PORTRAIT COMMISSIONS

Most portraits on this website were created from photographs. I prefer to draw the subject from life however that is not always possible or practical. Your first step is to provide me with a photograph that is of high quality, reflects the personality of the subject, and is of pleasing composition.

I use only the best archival materials to ensure the portrait will last for hundreds of years. These portraits are a lasting, personal legacy of you, your loved ones, friends or pet.

Generally speaking, portrait paintings of people cost between $300 - $1000. This depends on whether it is just head and shoulders or a complete figure including details like hands, feet, specific background etc. Pet portraits start at $150. I also take into consideration the size of the painting and materials cost. Each commission will require a non-refundable deposit to get started.
